Our Story

Baking has been a part of my life for over 12 years. What began as production baking in the bakery department at Walmart quickly grew into something much deeper - a true passion for the craft.

My dream truly came to life when I joined the pastry department at The Davenport Hotels in Spokane, Washington, where I worked my way up to Lead Baker. It was there that my foundation in scratch baking was formed. Surrounded by a chef and a culture rooted in learning, quality and precision, I learned the artistry, discipline, and care that define every batch I bake today. I learned many tips and tricks in the 6 years I was in that role. I still define it as my dream job years later.

Since then, my journey has included baking for Cherry Street Coffee House in Seattle and for Saint Martin's University in Lacey, Washington. Throughout my career, one thing has remained constant - my love for the kitchen and the joy of creating something meaningful through food.

Knowing I wanted to open my own bakery one day, I committed not only to perfecting my craft, but also to building the knowledge to run a strong and sustainable business. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix in March 2025 and am currently completing my Master's in Business Administration, and will graduate September of 2026. This education allows me to lead with intention, build a thoughtful team culture and create products that customers return for again and again.

There is nothing more rewarding than watching someone take that first bite and seeing their face light up. That moment - that connection - is why Sweet Lane Bakehouse exists.

As Sweet Lane Bakehouse begins as an in-home bakery, producing out of my kitchen, the menu will start intentionally small. Each product is carefully chosen and thoughtfully crafted, and new items will be added as we continue to grow. There is something incredibly special about watching a simple idea that started out as a daydream turn into something meaningful - and I take great pride in building this bakery step by step, batch by batch.
